Feasible form based on engineering components

Since taps were not my area of expertise, I explored existing inner structures and designs of taps. And then, I classified them into two major categories, cylinder type & ball type. Ball-type is mainly used for Mono taps, while Cylinder-type is used for faucets with the tap separating both handles. There were a few physically restrictive aspects, such as the standard size of components.

I chose the Cylinder-type for this Pottery project and the Ball-type for New Cube project (2019.05). You may refer to the analysis table attached below. Hence, I was able to design the cursive shape confidently with the workable knowledge I had built by deconstructing existing design information.

I pursued more free-form shapes while considering technical structure. Before shaping it, I paid attention to the inside mechanism first to create feasible output.
